I am doing some research and I’ve heard that

1. Some Native Americans took in African Americans during (if they escaped) or after slavery into their lands and they became part of the community
2. Some Native Americans harbored or helped slaves escape during the underground railroad.

I need to know if this is true: specific names & locations, historical examples, as well as any reliable links to further research.
