What if I was discharged by the Air Force for alleged adultery? Would the railroad still hire me?
Monday, February 15th, 2010matherwald96@yahoo.com asked:
I know that the railroad is a government job and it would be normally hard in most cases to get a civil service job with a General Discharge, but I really really want to work for the railroad. I just want to know if they would let me if they knew I was discharged for adultery

What conditions must be met for a person to be arrested for trespassing the railroad?

Please cite sources please. I’m trying to find this stuff as well!
I was taking photographs on the track, due to the fact that my camera has limited range, and I was experimenting with a shot through a fence. There were also no “No Trespassing” signs within the vicinity, so I was unaware I was even committing a crime.

Is it illegal to take railroad spikes and bearings that are laying around by the railroad in La Crosse WI?
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Alex asked:
Same as above but I simply would like to know if it is legal to take the spikes that aren’t in the tracks and bearings, as in the little balls that are perfect slingshot size. Like I said the spikes aren’t in the tracks, they have come loose and are laying about on the sides, and same with the little steel balls/bearings. Please give me as much info as you know so I know that I won’t get ticketed for taking them. Thank You…

Railroad retirement disablity, can you go to school on this disabliltiy?
Monday, April 20th, 2009manin_charge asked:
My soon to be father-in-law doesn’t think he can go back to school, because his disability is different from normal disability. He’s been part of the railroad for most of his life, and they are paying his disability and retirement. Can he still go to school and not lose his benifits?

OK My 13 yr old daughter came home with 3 old railroad ties she fount beside the railroad. We have been short on cash and have been walking daily to pick up can, she thought we could get caught up on bills if we could collect them for scrap metals. My neighbor told her to put them back, she could go to jail. So she did but I told her I would find out if it was true. she does not understand why we can’t recycle something no one was useing. She is very infiromentaly countious.

Who is responsible for maintaining railroad right of ways as it crosses through a city? The railroad or city?

In Los Angeles, Metrolink owns the right of ways between Chatsworth and Union Station. The right of ways get full of trash and standing water (especially in North Hollywood) which clearly violate city/county health laws. Who can be held to account for the neglect of the right of ways?
