How do I build an electric box for my model railroad?
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009tom asked:
I am building a model railroad, and noticed the track plan does not include terminal sections. I am adding them so that I can divide my layout into blocks. I had an idea that I could build those electric boxes often found next the the rails to cover the terminal area. I did not find anything on this on the internet. If you know a website, or have had this idea and built them yourself could you post the webpage or your building instructions. It needs to be in HO Scale.

What is the best book or starter kit for a beginner with Model Trains?
Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 asked:
One of my best friends mentioned years ago that his dad did model trains and had a big model train table before his dad passed away. He mentioned that he wanted to make something similar to it when he gets older, in part because it’s one of the few memories he has of his father. I’ve only recently remembered this conversation and I thought a starter kit or an informative book for beginners might be good for him as a birthday or Christmas present. Does anyone know anything about this hobby that might be able to make some good suggestions?

How many plan to run trains around the Christmas tree this year?
Sunday, September 14th, 2008Steven D asked:
Trains have been running under trees for most of a century now. It’s time to dig them out and do a little service work. Clean the tracks with a green scrubby and oil the motor and gears. Check the wires from the transformer to the track, if it’s missing any insulation replace it. Model Railroading the hobby that lasts a life time.

My oldest son is almost at the age where we can start doing projects and I remember playing with model trains with my grandfather. He had a HUGE setup in his house, but I can’t remember any details about it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Shawn
